This poem is called Caterpillar Mornings, by '''Tanager Skydancing''' as told by '''Tessira Soderstrom''' /Tessira holds out her arm, where a fuzzy caterpillar is slowly crawling around.<br> Caterpillar mornings, Caterpillar wakes in the dawn.<br> Caught by strange imaginings, Caterpillar searches on... and on.<br> Little caterpillar, wandering on your way.<br> Little caterpillar, what do you seek today?<br> /Tessira giggles as the fuzzy caterpillar crawls across her sensitive skin.<br> Caterpillar mornings, munching on a daisy's leaf.<br> Caught in last night's dreaming, pensive little garden thief.<br> Little caterpillar, come back to sanity.<br> Little caterpillar, such things are not for thee.<br> /Tessira carefully brushes the fuzzy caterpillar and watches it slowly inch across to her other arm.<br> Caterpillar mornings, Caterpillar watches the sky.<br> Foolish caterpillar, how could a caterpillar fly?<br> Little caterpillar, dream wings are only dreams.<br> Beautiful, but useless. Life comes in more banal themes.<br> /Tessira sets the caterpillar down on the ground, pausing the poem to watch it inch away.<br> Caterpillar mornings, it's caterpillar ways you must go.<br> Live and be content, why does a dream haunt you so?<br> ...and yet, you see...<br> There's something inside me...<br> That says today, a dream could come my way..<br> /Tessira watches the furry caterpillar disappear behind her.<br> I don't know quite what's happening, I feel near half-afraid<br> But dreams have spun reality, and all my dreams have made me into something new.<br> /Tessira grins at a passing butterfly.<br> Butterfly beginnings, butterfly recall your past.<br> Butterfly beginnings, do you think a dream can last?<br> /Tessira whispers softly, “I do....
