The Tale of Yolluagh and Ysabella A Dragon’s Tale By '''Wyrdwolf Legion''' - Part 4<br> Yolluagh the dragon had Inadvertently burned down the human’s village and in fear they had given him Ysabella, their most Beautiful maiden to keep him happy and to ensure there was no repeat performance. Ysabella had turned the unfortunate Yolluagh’s life upside down so he had hatched a plan to make Ysabella into a Princess, and so get her out of his cave. He had to go see Malt Dinsley, the village elder. Yolluagh flew down to what had been the human’s village. It was now a building site and it looked like it was being rebuilt on a much grander scale. He found Malt with some workmen who were erecting a toll booth with a sign which read “Welcome to Dinsleyland, home of the wicked Dragon” The workmen cowered away from Yolluagh but Malt had his back to him. He was wearing a new blue robe and a strange hat with large two dimensional black antlers glued to the top. He was dancing a very strange little jig and singing about a Michael Moose. Finally, he noticed Yolluagh and turned to him. Bowing low, causing one of his antlers to fall off, he said:<br> “Hail Great Lord Yolluagh! Sorry about that, just a little something I’m working on, it’s not quite right yet.”<br> Taking Yolluagh’s dew claw under his arm, he started walking<br> “So tell me,” he said secretively “Is Ysabella as willing as they say she is?” His eyes looked up eagerly at Yolluagh through the goose fat covered blisters. Yolluagh stopped walking.<br> “Malt, I need your help. I need you to build an ivory tower on my mountain, fit for a Princeless Princess.”<br> “Damn!” said Malt petulantly, “the dragon is a gentleman!”<br> Then his eyes brightened.<br> “Hmmmmmmmmmmmm… A Dragon, an ivory tower, and a Princeless Princess…”<br> Malt began walking again.<br> “My boy, I think you may be on to something, have you spoken yet to your agent?”<br> Yolluagh opened his mouth to ask what an agent was.<br> “Quite right!” interrupted Malt. “Agents only get in the way.”<br> “Now, Shall we say 60/40?”<br> Yolluagh opened his mouth again.<br> “No you are quite right again my clever boy, 75/25 it is, but of course your 25% will be subject to a 50% Dinsleyland corporation tax.”<br> Malt beamed up at Yolluagh<br> “We’ll have Princes the world over lining up to take a crack at this!”<br> “Now my boy” Malt continued hurriedly “Who is handling your marketing?”<br> Yolluagh opened his mouth.<br> “Never mind,” Malt said as he steered Yolluagh towards his team of trembling Architects. “I can do that for you at only 12.5% of the gross. Have you thought about insurance at all?”<br> And so it was that the ivory tower was built on Yolluagh’s mountain. Ysabella was blissfully happy being a princess in her Ivory tower and Malt became a rich and powerful figure in the entertainment industry. But Yolluagh had his cave back which is all he ever wanted, with a steady supply of princely food,<br> “Yes“ thought Yolluagh again, nestling in amongst his modestly growing hoard contentedly. ”Life was easy since these humans arrived.”<br> And so it was… <br> Until the next summer solstice.<br> The End<br> [[Category:Stories and Tales]]
