The Cathedral itself is at once classical and modern. A long tongue stairway slides down to a gateway portal. This is a cathedral for dragons: huge and vaulted. Built that way not to impress but for the sheer practicality of commanding wingspans and multiple darting, swaying heads. The veranda is a wide welcoming landing target, the paved tongue a red carpet for dragons. Yet somehow it is welcoming for humans too: an inspiring rather than intimidating sight.
A commodious passageway swallows the tongue into the Great Hall of the cathedral. Carven columns line the passage: supporting the roof, providing alcoves for the signs, vendors, info hubs and teleports that disseminate information, encourage participation and add to the welcoming atmosphere.
In the centre of the domed chamber sits a book. Touching the book flashes up a prompt, which offers access to the vast stores of knowledge that the dragons possess. Next to this lectern are the Dragon Guardian chairs, almost thrones for appointed High Council officials who watch over the proceedings in the Hall, who watch over the Dragon Eggs.
The Cathedral is at once a meeting place, a social congregation and a bazaar. The eggs here are brilliantly artistic and also functional vendor devices, and that is the true magic of this dragon place. Becoming a dragon is both easy and difficult and for many people the journey starts as a Hatchling and runs away from there.
All in all, the Cathedral on Limbo is a fantastic place for all things connected to the dragon avatars, as well as a work of art in itself. Many travel far across The Grid to gaze in wonder at its artistry and to dream of dragons and be steeped in their lore.
