Cathedral Circular Walk
Introduction
Two paths run through Cathedral, roughly in a North- South direction, one on the West side of the sim, one on the East. The paths do not connect directly with each other, and neither do they give any access to the Cathedral building. However, linked to other paths, they form a fascinating walk, starting from our familiar starting point, the Sundial in Limbo

Leaving Limbo, we pass through Cathedral heading North, into Tir Infernis for a while, still heading North. The route then swings West into Tir na Seilidhe, then passes into Tir Zephyrus and Tir na Nog before re-entering Cathedral to head South back into Limbo. If you are walking, you’ll need good boots for this one, and the walk reaches quite an altitude, so ensure you are prepared for the cold and the wet.
This Guide is really only intended to provide the reader with waypoints to find their way round. I will describe the Cathedral sections of the walk in detail – I’ll leave the description of the parts of the walk in the other sims for now, and include them later in the relevant Guides. This Guide assumes we are doing the walk in an anti-clockwise direction, just because it makes for a dramatic finish. Feel free to do it either way, though – it’s surprising how different a familiar walk can look done the “wrong” way round! However, if you follow my directions, the basic rule is turn left at every fork in the road.
Limbo
So, ensuring we are properly equipped, we set out from the Sundial walking in a North-Easterly direction. The path climbs, and we leave the sheltered woodland behind us. We see the roof of the Guildhall before us as we climb, but on reaching the junction at

Cathedral
We bear left, still climbing, and leaving the Guildhall below us. Soon, the path narrows as we cross the sim boundary and enter Cathedral. A few pines dot the mountainside. Don’t forget to stop once in a while for a look around There are some great views behind you as you climb, including a glimpse of the huge Dragon beneath the Cathedral Stargate. The cobbled trail continues to climb and we head North-East.
Tir Infernis
Eventually we are taken into Tir Infernis for a while as we circumnavigate the Cathedral complex.

is a junction. The route ahead leads down into the heart of Tir Infernis, which is not our objective today. We turn left, and the trail climbs a little more before starting to descend.
Cathedral Again
The road then climbs again and we are soon back in Cathedral. We enter a tunnel hewn out of the rock, supported by massive wooden props, and illuminated by lanterns. The trail descends precipitately here, and we leave the tunnel and leave Cathedral again.
Tir ns Seilidhe
We are now in Tir na Seilidhe, the Land of Snails. The path continues in a series of steep descents, with impressive views to the West out to sea.

Is another junction, and again we bear left. There are habitations here, the first we have passed on the entire walk. We pass a fountain, and with luck, will see grazing snails of different colours. We are heading West now, and soon leave the settlement behind us. A pair of lanterns marks our return to the wilderness. We walk through a deep ravine, then the path twists and climbs.
Tir Zephyrus
We enter Tir Zephyrus.

is another junction and another left turn. Tir Zephyrus is provided with better roads than we have seen for a long time, and progress here is good.
Tir na Nog
However, we are soon in Tir na Nog, and a huge flight of steps looms before us. At the top, the good quality road continues – level now! Lofty mountain peaks dominate the view as we now walk South. Steps lead us down now, into a leafy wood.

You guessed! A junction and we turn left.
Cathedral Again Again
We climb some more steps, and find ourselves again in Cathedral! We pass more pines as the path rises and falls

No junction, no left turn. Just stop and admire the views! Pan zoom, whatever!
Try not to slip on the steps as you descend, but do stop often and look around.
Return to Limbo
All too soon, we are back in Limbo, and you can congratulate yourself on completing the Cathedral Circle!
