Wyrmling Modding Guide
The Wyrmling is not nearly as easy to modify as the full-grown Wyrm, due to the lack of notecard import in the Wyrmling HUD. All edits must be made by hand, by rezzing the dragon pieces in-world and using the built-in SL edit tools. This page should serve as a walk-through. If you need additional help, please contact a Brown or Bronze Dragon in-world.
This is a work in progress so please understand not everything is up yet. and i need to put in pictures for examples as well.

General Information
The process of modifying your Isle of Wyrms Wyrmling to match the look of Pern Dragons is simple, but time-consuming. Make sure you complete all changes necessary before taking the piece back into inventory, because it will become no-mod when you do. The basic steps are to remove unnescessary pieces and textures, and change colors as required. Step-by-step instructions follow.
Breed Selection
As with the Adult Wyrms, we recommend Storm Dragons, optionally with Astral Bodies. The Storm body will work as well - either way requires removal of about the same number of extra decoration.
Step By Step
Find yourself either a Sandbox, or a spot where you can build, that will support the prims necessary for your modification. If using a sandbox, make sure you have enough time before your item is auto-returned - otherwise, you may end up having to start over.
Color Selection
When you were given your rank, you should be given a Colorization Orb - basically, a sphere set to the color appropriate to your rank. Rez this item in-world, and rez a small cube or something as well - because you cannot "grab" the color from the no-modify Colorization Orbs. With the cube or other prim selected, open the "Texture" panel, hit "Color", and use the eyedropper to grab the color of the Colorization Sphere. Drag that new color to the Saved Colors area at the bottom of the Color Picker window. This will allow you to use it in the upcoming edits. You can now take the Orb back into your inventory.
Legs
Let's start off with the legs, fore and aft - these are the easiest parts to modify. Rez all four legs, or one at a time if you prefer. Edit a leg, and under the "Texture" tab, select "Color". Choose the newly-saved color approprate to your rank, and hit "Select". Then, select "Texture", and hit the "Blank" button, and Select again. Set the Shininess to "Low". If you wish to recolor your talons, use the "Edit Linked Parts" tool to change each talon to whatever color you would like. I recommend Black with High Shininess, but it is left to your digression. Repeat this for each leg.
If you wish to do any optional steps on the leg (as outlined below), do them now - otherwise, take the legs back into your inventory. They are now ready for use.

Optional Steps
These options are not required, and will GREATLY increase the time it takes to modify your dragon - however, it could also greatly reduce lag generated by your dragon. While editing, you may notice that every prim of your dragon has at least one script, and many textures. In your Pern dragon, you will not need many of these. However, use caution when editing the Wings, Head, and Body - particulary the portions that move when flying. Deleting the wrong script can land you with a really odd-looking, non-responsive dragon.
