~Mother's Treasures~ Windchaser Rhode.

It occured to me, the other day
as I was walking out the door,
How the little things just look like they stop and stare,
while often they do more.

Like, How does the moth so gracefully fly
on delicate, papered wings?
Or, How does the humming bird learn to fly
and the canary sweetly sing?

To ask of Mother Nature
On gentle, bending knee,
"How do your children learn these things?
Is this something I'm supposed to see?"

Within Her gentle, gazing eyes
Did shining shimmer show,
"I'll tell you now, my Sweet, new Child,
Do look and gaze and know.

"Do look upon the new, sweet Pup
that wanders far and near.
Caress the soft, sweet Kitten's fur
T'is rumbling purr you'll hear.

"Gaze upon the multicolored
Owlets young and old
You'll see it, too, must learn its ways
Of when to flee and when to be bold.

"Coyote sings its haunting howl
Across the darkening way,
Silent deer does trod its Path
showing you the way.

"Listen to the children both young and old,
They'll tell you what to do.
LIsten to the North, East, West and South,
They'll show you things anew."

I listened to Her all the while
as my eyes they silently fell.
To Her silken, gentle words of Truth
Yes, even now, it's that I can tell.

"Sleep well and peacefully, sweet gentle Soul,
Be safe in your Mother's arms."
Now I know and now can tell
Of Her sweet and gentle charms.
