Overview
The Dragon HUD's allow the user to control various actions and sounds at a press of a button. However, the HUDs are complicated items containing many prims, scripts and textures. To reduce lag it can be better to detach the HUD's and use other means to activate actions and sounds.
Within LSL the are a number of ways in which communication between two objects can be realised. In this case, the HUDs are communicating with the Dragons by chatting on a specific agreed channel. This channel is 42. Conventional "chat" is on channel 0.
Thus the user can activate actions and sounds simply by chatting to the dragon using the appropriate channel. This is achieved by prefixing the command with a forward slash '/' followed by the channel number. As an example:
- to activate the dragon breath the command would be: /42 breath on
- to deactivate the dragon breath the command would be /42 breath off
It should be noted that all commands are case sensitive.
The following table detail the commands that are supported and there applicability by dragon species:

Breath Effects & Aura
Breath commands activate the individual dragon breath and aura effects. These are generally start and stop commands.

Note 1: Most species on the Version 2.1 and above HUD's can use either "breath" or "breath on" to turn on the dragon breath. Some species can only use "breath".
Movements
Movement commands change the alpha setting on various body parts to achieve flight and non-flight appearances. These are generally commands to achieve a specific state.

Sounds
Sound commands activate sounds from the aural emitter of the dragon. These are generally one-shot trigger commands, meaning that the sound is only played once and not continuously.
